Interpol President of Chinese origin Meng Hongwei has resigned and South Korean national Kim Jong Yang will become acting president of the world body.
The Interpol, in its statement, said that the new president will be appointed during Interpol’s meeting to be held in Dubai next month.
On the other hand, Beijing has said that investigations are underway against Meng Hongwei for suspected wrongdoings.
