ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan said on Monday that relations withChina are the basic pillar of Pakistan’s foreign policy.
He stated while chairing a high level meeting in Islamabad to discussmatters relating to the prime minister’s visit to China and the CPECprojects.
The meeting was attended by Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi amongother federal ministers including finance, information, planning, railwaysand energy.
During the meeting, the prime minister was being briefed on key projects,including the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). It was also reportedthat the preparations for PM Imran’s visit to China are also beingdiscussed.
PM Imran Khan is scheduled to visit China this month. Chinese PM Li Keqianghad extended an invite to Prime Minister Imran Khan for an official visitto the country.
