The couple’s wedding festivities, following their nikkah ceremony held inFebruary this year, are expected to commence shortly after the conclusionof the Asia Cup 2023. The regional event’s final match is scheduled forSeptember 17 in Sri Lanka, and Pakistan stands a strong chance of making itto the final round.
A sports journalist, posting on the social media platform X, claimed thathis sources informed him that Shaheen Afridi’s barat event will take placein Karachi on September 19, just two days after the Asia Cup ends. He alsomentioned that the walima ceremony is set to be held at a private hotel inIslamabad on September 21, a claim supported by various media reports.
