Maulana Fazlur Rahman, the head of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F), has statedthat elections are inevitable in the current national situation. Speakingto senior journalists in Lahore, Maulana Fazlur Rahman mentioned thatgeneral elections will take place in the country until the end of February.Campaigning for elections is challenging in tribal areas due to theprevailing circumstances, and the concept of responsible government is notprevalent in democratic countries.
The JUI-F chief further noted that the decision to hold immediate electionswas made with the consensus of PDM parties, including MQM, Akhtar Mengal, and others. The People’s Party exerted pressure by moving a motion ofno-confidence against the PTI Chairman at the last moment; had the People’sParty not done so, elections would have already taken place.
He added that those who brought the PTI Chairman into power admitted thattheir agenda was different, and PTI was brought into power to weaken thecountry economically.
In summary, Maulana Fazlur Rahman emphasized the inevitability of upcomingelections in Pakistan, despite the challenging circumstances in certainregions and the political maneuvering among various parties. He alsohighlighted the differing agendas that led to the PTI’s rise to power
