ISLAMABAD – Pakistan was dropped out of semi-finals after their secondconsecutive defeat in the ACC U-19 Asia Cup.
Chasing a target of 306 in the match played at the Tyrann Fernando StadiumMoratuwa, Pakistan were dismissed for 245 in 46.4 overs. Captain RohailNazir scored 117 runs. Apart from him Abdulbangzai scored 15, Mohammad Amir12 and Naseem Shah were able to enter double figures with 11 runs. Atharwaschoolboy 3 and Vidyadar Patel dismissed 2 players.
Earlier, Indian skipper Dhora Chand Jurel decided to bat first, the teamscored 305 for 9 in the stipulated 50 overs, and opener Sweed Parker wasdismissed for 3 after a total score of 38. An 183-run partnership betweenAzad and Thakur Tilak Verma brought the team to 221, Arjun Azad scored 121and Thakur Talak Verma scored 110, the last eight wickets fell in just 73runs.
