During the visit, goodwill ambassador and stunning actress Mahira Khan saidthat children are our future and we need to take steps for them.
In a social media post, Mahira wrote, “Since 2002, around 4.3 millionAfghan refugees have returned back to Afghanistan under the largestvoluntary return programme in the world. The UN refugee agency has beenclosely working with the Government of Pakistan and other partners toensure that the rights of refugees are fully protected. Pakistan continuesto host 1.39 million Afghan refugees.”——————————

“You may ask, why should we care? We must care because more than half ofthe refugees are kids. A lot of them came unaccompanied, without theirmothers or fathers.. a lot of them were even born here. They are ourfuture, every child in the world is,” she added.
