LAHORE – ARY television network president Salman Iqbal and business tycoonMalik Riaz donated millions to the Diamer-Bhasha dam after PM ImranKhan appealedthe nation to assist the government in implementation of the project.

Malik Riaz donated Rs50 million, while Salman Iqbal donated Rs10 millionafter PM Khan’s appeal. In a statement from Riaz’s spokesperson, it wassaid that “Malik Riaz and Bahria Town would keep on striving to the best oftheir extent for the betterment of the country and to cater the energydemands.”

Iqbal, on the other hand, took to Twitter and said that “after theinitiation of CJ and the PM’s appeal to Pakistanis to extend support to thegovt for building dams. ARY announced a contribution of $100,000 (Rs10million) to the fund.”

The ARY chief also requested all Pakistanis to come forward and support thegovernment and chief justice.
