LAHORE – Punjab government has decided to step in to bolster the PrimeMinister Imran Khan’s Diamer Bhasha Dams fund campaign.
The Chief Minister of Punjab Usman Buzdar announced on Saturday that hewill be donating his one month’s salary to dams fund set up by PrimeMinister Imran Khan.
The CM also announced that apart from him, all provincial ministers willalso be donating one month salary to the dam fund. On Twitter he wrote, ”Water is life and our country is in dire need of it. #*DamsForPakistan*link. ”
In his address to the nation on Friday night, PM Khan appealed them todonate to the dam funds for the construction of Diamer-Bhasha and MohmandDams. He appealed the overseas Pakistan’s to donate as they used to donatemoney for the Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital.
“Your donations will be safeguarded by me,” the PM promised the overseasPakistanis. Soon after his appeal, Malik Riaz Hussain of Bahria Townannounced to donate Rs 50 million for the dam.
President and CEO ARY Digital Network, Salman Iqbal also announced taht hewill be donating one hundred thousand US Dollars for the dam fund.
