LAHORE – In an unprecedented move Punjab government has decided to’surrender’ near 100 senior police officers.
The police officers from grade 18 to grade 21 will be surrendered to thefederal government for their deployment in other provinces.
The Central Police Office (CPO) has prepared a draft report carrying thelist of the senior cops ranging from grade 18 to 21.
Four police officers are of grade 21 and serving as additional IGs atvarious positions in Punjab.
They include Additional IGP Establishment Azhar Hameed Khokhar, ManagingDirector of Punjab Safe Cities Authority Ali Aamir Malik, Additional IGInvestigation Malik Abubakar Khudabakhsh and Regional Police Officer ofGujranwala Shahid Hanif.
The list was prepared and finalised on the direction of the CabinetDivision under a new policy which defined new protocols of countrywidereshuffle at mass level in the PSP cadre, targeting those police cops whohad worked for five years or above consecutively in a province.
