NEW DELHI – Actress Anushka Sharma, wife of Indian Cricket team skipperVirat Kohli has come under fire during the national team visit to England.
She had recently accompanied husband cricketer Virat Kohli on his officialtour to London, but this has not sit well with Indian circket fans.
The High Commission of India in London hosted the Indian cricket team onTuesday and the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s (BCCI) tweet on theoccasion has drawn the ire of the social media sphere. The Indian cricketteam is currently playing five-match test series against England.
BCCI posted a picture on Twitter which had the entire Indian Cricket Teamin the frame but the Twitter got stuck on Anushka, who was standing in thevery first row next to captain Kohli. Whereas vice captain Ajinkya Rahanewas seen in the last row.
None of the other players’ partners are present in the picture apart fromAnushka.
Many Twitter users asked BCCI what Anushka was doing in the picture, whichhad only sportsperson and Indian High Commission in the frame. They alsosnarled at BCCI for allowing wives to accompany their husband on anofficial tour.
