LONDON – QS has released the university rankings for the year 2019 with MITtopping the charts for a record-breaking 7th consecutive time.
The 15th edition of the world rankings evaluated 1000 universities from 85countries, with the United States of America claiming top 4 positions.Stanford University, Harvard University and California Institute ofTechnology have also maintained 2nd, 3rd, and 4th spots respectively.——————————Top 10 World Universities

Pakistani Universities Rankings
Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences (PIAES) hasovertaken National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) as thetop-ranked Pakistani university in the QS World University Rankings 2019.PIEAS was not included in the rankings last year, while NUST has improvedits rank, claiming the 417th spot.——————————
Quaid-e-Azam University has also improved its position significantly from651-700 to 551-560. Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) andUniversity of Engineering Technology (UET) Lahore have maintained theirrankings i.e. 701-750 and 801-1000 respectively. The University of Punjab has also managed to register its name in the listof top 1000 universities, while the University of Karachi and theUniversity of Lahore have failed to maintain their positions in the top1000.
