*KABUL – At least eight soldiers were killed after Taliban fightersattacked a security outpost in northeast Takhar province, a local officialsaid on Tuesday.*
Mohammad Jawad Hijri, a spokesman for the provincial governor told ArianaNews that Taliban militants stormed Charsiha outpost located between Darqadand Khawajah Bahawodin districts at around 1:30 am on Tuesday.
According to Hijri, at least eight security personnel were killed duringthe clashes with the Taliban militants.
However, a Taliban spokesman said in a statement that they have killed 10soldiers including six public police and four Afghan policemen.
