TEHRAN ( IRNA )– Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Geng Shuang saidTuesday that China will remain committed to implementation of Iran nucleardeal also known as Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
“China will remain in close contact with all relevant parties and continueupholding and implementing the JCPOA with an objective, impartial andresponsible attitude,” Shuang said in regular press conference.
This is while; US President Donald Trump will announce his decision on Irannuclear deal Tuesday night.
The US administration has done a great deal last year to kill Iran nucleardeal.
Trump was initially expected to announce his decision regarding suspendingsanctions against Iran and continuing the implementation of the JCPOA onMay 12.
“The JCPOA is a multilateral agreement reached by the P5+1, the EuropeanUnion and Iran through negotiations and endorsed by the UN Security CouncilResolution 2231, Shuang said reiterating that China has made clear itsstance on the Iran Deal before.”
“Under the current circumstances, ensuring the integrity and sanctity ofthe JCPOA is conducive to upholding the international non-proliferationregime and promoting the peace and stability in the Middle East,” he added.
He went on to say “All relevant parties should step up dialogue andcoordination, properly patch up differences and continue fulfilling theirobligations in a faithful manner.”
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has already confirmed eleventimes Iran’s commitment to the landmark July 2015 international deal.
