NEW DELHI – National Conference MLA Javed Rana has told PM Modi governmentthat “Pakistan and separatists can’t be blamed for violence andstone-pelting incidents”.
Condemning the killing of a tourist in the valley, he said that Kashmirishave no option but to pick up guns and stones. “If you don’t fulfill thepromises to the people, what will they do? They will pick up a gun orstone”, said Javed Rana while speaking to India Today.
Questioning the accession of Jammu and Kashmir with the Union of India, hesaid that it was conditional and the political class of the country haderoded Article 370, he repeated the charge that Kashmiris have been”cheated”.
He sees no Islamabad’s role in fomenting trouble in Jammu and Kashmir. “Ourown people are responsible for stone-pelting and attacks. Were separatistsresponsible for IC 814 hijacking?”, said Javed Rana while defendingHurriyat.
Stoking another controversy, he said that Jinnah was not responsible forthe partition of India. “RSS created Pakistan and the people who createdPakistan are ruling India now”, said Javed Rana.
