LAHORE – Ruling Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz is perturbed by the claimsmade by Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) that many PML-N leaders haveexpressed willingness to join Imran Khan.

Nawaz Sharif during a party meeting in Raiwind had asked his youngerbrother to be vigilant with regard to defections from the party. “Youshould personally contact those in the party who have made up their mind todefect and redress their grievances.

This is a testing time and we should not turn this into a matter of egos,”Nawaz was quoted to have told Shahbaz.

The political leaders discussed how they could arrive at an understandingwith Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shahover the nomination of a caretaker prime minister.

“They also pledged to foil any attempt to delay the election under onepretext or another,” the PML-N leader said, adding the former primeminister had also directed PM Abbasi and Shahbaz Sharif to take theirallies on board when it came to taking important decisions.
