ISLAMABAD – More than 550 Sikh pilgrims arrived Kartarpur Darbar Sahib onSunday to celebrate the custom of Nagar Kirtan.
It was reported that 585 Sikh pilgrims arrived at Kartarpur Darbar Sahibbarefoot to celebrate the custom of Nagar Kirtan.
58,311 pilgrims have visited the darbar from India so far while 9,904 Sikhsfrom United States (US), Canada, Australia, Malaysia and Singapore alsooffered their prayers at Kartarpur.
On the other hand, the record shows that 98 Sikhs residing in Pakistan alsotoured the holy site.
The Darbar authorities told proper screening of the pilgrims carried outhowever, no case of coronavirus found so far.
Kartarpur Corridor for Sikhs across the world is one of the holiest shrines.
It the same place where Sikh religious leader Guru Nanak spent days leadingup to his death.
It the place where Guru Nanak after a long pilgrimage of almost threedecades finally decided to settle.
Believed that Guru Nanak spent his last years in Kartarpur farming andspreading the message of peace.
Guru Nanak lived at Kartarpur Ravi for over 17 years and this place becamethe principal seat of Sikh faith.
