ISLAMABAD – Islamabad United, the winners of the first and third editionsof the Pakistan Super League and the most successful team in PSL history,will be replacing Rassie van der Dussen (the 18th pick in the PSL 5 Draft)with the English batsman, Dawid Malan.
Malan, currently ranked number 5 in ICC’s T20I Rankings for batsmen, hasbecome a regular for the England national team over the past six months. In9 T20I’s he has one hundred and five fifties while scoring at a strike ratein excess of 150.
In addition to his international exploits he finished as a top-5 run scorerin both the Vitality Blast and the Bangladesh Premier League over the pasttwelve months, including scoring hundreds in both tournaments.
Prior to joining Islamabad United he has played in the Pakistan SuperLeague for Peshawar Zalmi.
