LAHORE – Former Prime Minister Nawaz had fell sick under captivity inLahore’s Kot Lakhpat jail.
Sharif has complained of mild fever and body pain however; he was notallowed to meet his physician.
On the other hand, jail authorities maintain that the blood pressure andsugar of the PML-N Quaid is checked on regular basis whereas he is alsotaking his medicines timely.
The accountability court on December 24 convicted Sharif and sentenced himto seven years in prison, besides imposing a fine of Rs1.5 billion, andacquitted him in the Flagship reference case filed by the NationalAccountability Bureau (NAB) in Mega corruption scandal.
Contrarily, the NAB has also filed two appeals in the IHC, the first hassought an extension in Sharif’s sentence from seven to 14 years, and theother has challenged his acquittal in the Flagship Investment reference.
