AJK PM condemns Indian shelling on LOC

MUZAFFARABAD: Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan has condemned Indian shelling on Line of Control (LOC) near Samhani area in Mirpur district last night killing one civilian Muhammad Azeem Khan and hurting a woman Naseem Bibi.

In a statement here Monday, Prime Minister AJK while expressing concern over constant violations of truce on LOC by the India said that Indian army was openly violating international laws by hitting innocent civilians in Azad Kashmir which must be taken serious.

He said Indian army had been constantly shelling the areas in Neelum Valley and Bhimber district of AJK hurting the innocent civilians and huge losses to men and property has been caused in these areas and demanded the United Nations to take a cognizance of these violations.

He said constant escalation by the Indian troops on LOC and atrocities in occupied Kashmir was a reflection of India’s war hysteria however, he said the moral of the people around the LOC was high and they are well prepared to defend their soil alongside Pakistan army.
