US trainer killed in helicopter crash in Saudi Arabia

RIYADH: The Saudi Arabian National Guard announced Thursday that a US trainer was killed in a helicopter crash in the Saudi capital of Riyadh.
The crash took place during a routine activity at Khashm Alan airport east of Riyadh, the Al Arabiya TV quoted the guard's statement as saying.
The American victim was identified as Paul Reedy, but it remained unknown if he is a US soldier or a civilian.
A Saudi trainee pilot was injured in the accident, which involved a Boeing AH-6i light helicopter gunship, the statement said.
Saudi investigators were still trying to determine the cause of the crash, the report added.
