Outcome of investigation of data hacking of Pakistani banks to be shared with House

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training Shafqat Mahmood informed the National Assembly that the government would share outcome of investigation of Pakistani banks data hacking issue with the House.

Responding to a point raised by the PML-N Ahsan Iqbal he said, “This is very serious issue, people having accounts in the banks are worried about the hacking of data and this is the breach of security also.” The minister said he will discuss the issue with the relevant minister and House will be informed about the outcome of the investigation.

However, the minister said that Pakistani banks have suspended usage of their debit cards outside the country. PML-N leader Ahsan Iqbal said that the news of hacking of Pakistani data is published in the newspapers and finance minister should take the House into confidence.
