ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Revenue Hammad Azhar said the inflation rate during the first eight month of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government is lesser than previous tenures of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and Pakistan Peoples Pakistan in the corresponding period.
Speaking here at the National Assembly, he said inflation rate was 25 percent in the first eight months of previous tenure but it is comparatively less in first eight months of incumbent government.
He said prices of petroleum products witnessed great increase during the tenure of previous governments but they did not want to talk on it now.
Earlier, the minister responded to a Calling Attention Notice which was regarding high rate of mark up being charged by the non governmental organizations and Microfinance Banks on loans for farmers.
