Govt trying its level best to provide facilities to people during Ramadan: Dr. Firdous
Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information Firdous Ashiq Awan says despite economic restraints, the government is trying its level best to provide facilities to the people during the holy month of Ramadan.
Talking to Radio Pakistan in Islamabad on Monday, she said Prime Minister Imran Khan has announced a two-billion rupees Ramadan package under which essential items are being provided to the people on cheaper rates at Utility Stores.
She said nineteen essential commodities, including pulses, rice, cooking oil, and sugar are being provided on subsidized rates at about two thousand Utility Stores outlets.
Firdous Ashiq Awan said that establishment of Al-Qadir University of Sufism and Science is the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan and the First Lady and its objective is to promote the cause of an enlightened, moderate, and progressive Pakistan.
She said that the Prime Minister is keen to explore investment for the university in private sector on the pattern of NAML University Mianwali.
