ISLAMABAD - Quetta Gladiators faces setback ahead of crucial matches of the PSL 2020.

Gladiators Naseem Shah has been advised five-day rest after the 17-year-old twisted his left ankle during the March 5 HBL PSL 2020 fixture between Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi in Rawalpindi.

Leg-spinner Zahid Mehmood has been named as pacer Naseem Shah’s replacement, it was announced on Saturday.

The replacement was approved by the event’s technical committee which includes PCB CEO Wasim Khan, Bazid Khan, Marina Iqbal, Sameer Khosa and Dr Sohail Saleem.

Earlier, Quetta suffered a big blow, early in the match against Peshawar Zalmi on Thursday when its 17-year-old pacer Naseem Shah left the field with a sprained left ankle after bowling two economical overs, conceding just six runs.
