Balochistan govt launches ‘Teacher Skill Development Programme’

ISLAMABAD, (APP):Balochistan government has initiated ‘Teacher Skill Development Programme' (TSDP) with the collaboration of American Board for Certification of Teacher Excellence (ABCTE) to bring public sector schools’ performance at par with the global standards.
        A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) had been signed between Balochistan Secondary Education Department and ABCTE to formally launch the programme, aimed at imparted modern teaching techniques among the government teachers, an official of the Balochistan government said.
        Under the programme, he said training would soon be imparted to the teachers through free online classes. The teachers could apply online to get register for the programme, he added.
        He said the teachers who attended the course would be awarded certificates of the international level teachers’ skill enhancement course. 
        The official said the course would enable the teachers to apply for the virtual tutoring firms.
        Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan was expressed his pleasure over the commencement of the programme, urging teachers to join the free online Teachers’ Certification Skills Development Programme to get professional teaching knowledge.
        Teachers should utilize their time positively during lockdown imposed to stem the coronavirus spread, Jam Kamal said.   “Teachers must take advantage of this free of cost international training courses offered by the government of Balochistan,” he added.
