Despite snubs from India, Pakistani singers sing for upcoming Bollywood film

MUMBAI - Pakistani singers Rahet Fateh Ali Khan and Atif Aslam, remain everyone's favourite across borders, despite the ongoing tiff between the two countries.

Proving that music flows beyond territories, the singers have geared up to lend their voice for the soundtrack of the upcoming Bollywood film *Namaste England link>* .

The song, titled *Tu Meri Main Tera link>*, which will be sung by Rahat, is penned by Javed Akhtar, and is currently being recorded in Dubai.

As reported by Mumbai Mirror, composer Manan Shah, on his experience working with Rahat said, “It’s sheer pleasure to have recorded *Tu Meri Main Tera* with Rahat sahab. I’ve always been a big fan of his voice. Our second association (after *Commando- A One Man Army*) had to be a special one and what better than *Namaste England*!”

Rahat, in the past, had given voice to the hit *Main Jahaan Rahoon* from *Namastey London*.

Manan mentioned that while *Main Jahaan Rahoon* will always be a special track, the makers wanted to experiment this time.

“We have tried a unique style which Rahat sahab has also explored for the first time. He was excited about singing something so new and fresh,” he explained.

*Tu Meri Main Tera* is not the only song from the Arjun Kapoor link> , Parineeti Chopra link> starrer that is going to be sung by a Pakistani artist.

Atif Aslam has been roped in to croon a romantic number too.

Manan, as quoted by the daily, shared, “Atif was always my first choice for *Tere Liye*. I adore his voice and he’s sung a quintessential romantic song. Javed sahab has written a wonderful song and it’s one of his personal favourites too.”

Directed and co-produced by Vipul Shah link>, *Namaste England* is a sequel to the 2007 film *Namastey London*.
