QUETTA: Raheela Durrani has been elected as the first woman Speaker of Baluchistan Assembly. She is the 13th Speaker of Baluchistan Assembly. She started her career from journalism.
As per details, she has also served as provincial minister for prosecution. She was fond of games and got a lot of achievements in games.
She completed her MSC (Mass Communication) degree in 1994 with 5 Gold Medals.
JUI leader Mufti Gulab had also submitted the nomination paper for speaker but it was rejected by presiding officer Liaqat Agha due to late submission. New elected speaker took oath from Liaqat Agha.
While addressing the assembly, Raheela said that the designation of speaker is very important and she will move forward with government and opposition. The respect of House will be maintained at any cost.
