Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak says the provincial government has drafted a policy for empowerment and socio-economic development of women.
Addressing a seminar in Peshawar today (Wednesday), he said the cabinet has approved the draft of an amendment in Women Protection Act to protect them from harassment at working places.
The Chief Minister said a toll free number has also been installed to monitor gender based violence in the province.
Pervez Khattak said daycare centers and hostels have been constructed for working women in Peshawar and Mardan.
