ISLAMABAD: Water level has reached 1749 feet at Rawal Dam due to heavy rains in Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
According to officials, the spillways of the dam will be opened at eleven am after it touches the level of 1752 feet.
Water from the dam's spillways flows to Sawan river after passing through Korang Nullah.
The filling up of Rawal Dam will help address water shortages in the twin cities.
Meanwhile, the heavy rainfall in Rawalpindi division has caused flood in Sawan River.
According to Rescue 1122, tube wells' staff has climbed over electric pole to save their lives.
Rescue 1122 teams have reached on the spot and the rescue operation is continuing in the area.
