LAHORE – The Lahore High Court will hear Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz(PML-N) vice president Maryam Nawaz’s plea seeking removal of name from theExit Control List (ECL).
A two-member bench of the court, headed by Justice Baqir Najfi, will takeup the plea on Monday, December 9.
Maryam Nawaz’s lawyer Advocate Amjad Pervez filed petition in the court.
The Interior Ministry, FIA, Chairman NAB and DG NAB were made respondantsin the petition.
Maryam Nawaz in her petition stated that her name was placed on the ECLwithout hearing her stance.
“The move of placing name on the Exict Control List was illegal”, she added.
She pleaded that she should be allowed to travel abroad until finaldecision.
Maryam requested the court to nullify the move to place her name on ECLdeclaring it illegal and void.
