ISLAMABAD – Supreme Court has constituted a special committee to finalizerecommendations on extending constitutional rights to the people ofGilgit-Baltistan.
A seven-member bench of the Apex court headed by Chief Justice of PakistanMian Saqib Nisar passed the order while hearing a case about providingconstitutional rights to the people of Gilgit-Baltistan in Islamabad today.
The Committee headed by Attorney General of Pakistan will comprise seniorlawyers Aitazaz Ahsan, Salman Akram Raja, Javed Ahmed , Afrasiab andSecretary Ministry of Kashmir Affairs.
The Court directed the committee to take on board all the stakeholders andsubmit its recommendations by Tuesday next.
