Pakistan Iran to jointly fight threat of ISIS in the region

TEHRAN – Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa has said that Pak-Iran border is a border of peace and friendship.

According to ISPR, talking to Iranian military and civil leadership in Tehran on Monday, he said terrorists are common enemies of both the countries and they would not be allowed to exploit the Pak-Iran border.

He held meetings with Iranian military and civil leadership including the President Hassan Rouhani, Chief of General Staff Major General Muhammad Bagheri and Foreign Minister Muhammad Javad Zarif.

During the meetings, Iranian leadership acknowledged Pakistan’s sacrifices, contributions and positive role towards peace and stability in the region.

Pakistan and Iran face the common threat of emerging ISIS in the region.
