LAHORE – Prime Minister Imran Khan says PTI government will remove thefaults in existing local government system to serve the people in the bestpossible way.
He stated this during a meeting with Punjab cabinet members in Lahore today(Sunday).
The Prime Minister took them into confidence on local government system andhousing program.
He said the purpose of local government system is public welfare so thatpeople at the grass root level are empowered.
Imran Khan said this system will ensure completion of developmentalprojects on time. Imran Khan said there will be a complete check onfinancial irregularities in the local government system.
He directed the Punjab cabinet to do timely legislation on this issue. Hewas of the view that by elections are very important for PTI and a fullfledge election campaign needs to be launched for success.

Referring to encroachment drive, the Prime Minister said the provincialgovernment should take all out steps to recover government lands fromencroachers and federal government will provide all out assistance in thistask.
He also urged the provincial government not to disturb poor people inanti-encroachment drive. The government buildings and lands should beemployed for useful purposes.
He asked the support of provincial government in nation-wide cleanlinessand plantation campaigns. The prime minister directed that all targets setin the 100-day plan be completed on time.
