ISLAMABAD – Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi arrived on Saturday inIslamabad to attend the trilateral talks between Pakistan, China andAfghanistan.
FM Shah Mahmood Qureshi received China FM at Noor Khan Air Base. Foreignminister of Afghanistan Salahuddin Rabbani is also due to arrive inPakistan today. FM Qureshi, Yi and Rabbani will lead their respectivedelegations.
This will be the third China, Pakistan and Afghanistan foreign ministers’dialogue in last three years. The agenda of the dialogue focuses onpolitical relations, peace process, security cooperation, counter terrorismand development cooperation and connectivity.
A statement from the Foreign Office states, “Pakistan attaches highestimportance to the dialogue as a part of political trust building,development and cooperation and connectivity leading to greaterunderstanding on issues of common concern.”
