ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government, people and military werewilling to hold dialogue with India for ensuring regional peace.

In an Interview with BBC, Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry said Pakistanwanted peace with India as both Prime Minister and Chief of Army Staff(COAS) believe that a country could not progress single handedly withouttaking the whole region on board.

“In his first speech, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that we will take twosteps forward inresponse to one step from New Delhi,” Fawad said.

He said Pakistan would soon open Kartarpur border, situated in districtNarowal, for Sikh pilgrims and allow them to visit Gurdwara Darbar Sahibwithout obtaining visa. They could return to India after performingreligious rituals there.He said in Pakistan, all of our institutions are at the same page and PTIgovernment takesinitiatives only after getting input from relevant institutions.

Responding to a question, he said the vote bank of Bharatiya Janata Partycould not be effectedas a result of extending friendship with Pakistan as elections arescheduled next year.
