In a New Move, Pakistan Hosts Event in China on Kashmir

Dignified ceremony held on August 5 to highlight Pakistan’s stance onKashmir

The Embassy of Pakistan in Beijing organized a solemn and dignified eventon August 5, 2025, to mark the anniversary of India’s revocation of Article370 and to reiterate Pakistan’s unwavering stance on the Kashmir issue.

Held at the embassy premises, the event brought together diplomats,scholars, journalists, Chinese officials, and members of the Pakistanicommunity in China. The purpose of the gathering was to raise awarenessabout the situation in Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir and toreaffirm Pakistan’s support for the Kashmiri people’s right toself-determination as enshrined in United Nations Security Councilresolutions.

In his remarks, Pakistan’s Ambassador to China emphasized the historicalbackground of the Kashmir dispute, the continued human rights violations inthe region, and the need for peaceful resolution through dialogue anddiplomacy. He urged the international community, particularly the UnitedNations and China, to play their role in addressing the grievances of theKashmiri people and ensuring justice.

Messages from the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan were also readout, reiterating Pakistan’s firm political, moral, and diplomatic supportfor the people of Jammu and Kashmir. A short documentary highlighting thesuffering of Kashmiris was also screened during the event.

The embassy reaffirmed that August 5 will always be remembered as a blackday, and pledged that Pakistan will continue to raise the voice ofKashmiris on all international platforms until a just and peaceful solutionis achieved.
