ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court has granted protective bail to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary-General and senior lawyer Salman Akram Raja, providing him legal relief amid multiple case filings, official records show.
Raja had approached the IHC seeking protective bail, requesting details of the cases pending against him. The court acknowledged his petition and approved bail, enabling him to respond to the proceedings without the immediate risk of arrest .
The litigation he’s facing spans at least 18 cases, filed across various jurisdictions including Islamabad, Lahore, and Attock—as confirmed in court documents. Bail was granted on the condition of furnishing surety bonds, after which he is free to approach the respective courts handling these cases .
The protective bail offers temporary legal protection, allowing Raja the opportunity to navigate the judicial process regarding the FIRs filed against him in connection with the PTI protests.
