MOSCOW – Russia has warned NATO that any decision to admit Georgia to itsranks could trigger a terrible conflict.

Talking to newsmen in Mascow, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev saidsuch a policy is irresponsible and will have unspecified consequences forthe alliance.

He said Georgia’s entry into NATO raised the risk of conflict with Moscowand under NATO rules, countries with territorial conflicts cannot join thealliance.
