ECP takes important step in connection with General Elections 2023

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Friday unveiled the comprehensiveschedule for training its officers in the effective utilization of theElection Management System (EMS) in preparation for the upcoming generalelections.

The EMS training program will span from July 13 to July 26, equippingofficers with the necessary skills and knowledge to leverage thistechnology-driven tool.

Commencing on July 13 and 14, the training sessions will be dedicated to 20Project Management Unit (PMU) and Information Technology (IT) officershailing from the four provinces and the Central Secretariat. This two-daytraining program will take place at the Election Commission Secretariatlocated in Islamabad, the nation’s capital.

Subsequently, from July 17 to 20, the focus will shift to providingtraining to 300 District Election Officers (DEOs) from the ProvincialElection Commission, as well as Regional and District ElectionCommissioners. These officials will receive specialized training aimed atenhancing their proficiency in using the EMS system effectively.

As the training program progresses, a briefing will be conducted for seniorofficers from the four provinces, scheduled to take place from July 24 to26. This briefing will offer a comprehensive overview of the EMS system’sfunctionalities and provide guidance on its strategic implementation.
