LAHORE – After the Avenfield reference verdict, Lahore Pakistan MuslimLeague-N (PML-N) president Pervaiz Malik’s son Ali Pervaiz was replacedwith Maryam Nawaz from NA-127 candidate.
As per details, the PML-N filed a plea for returning the party ticket ofMaryam Nawaz. The PML-N decided to award the party ticket to Ali Pervaizfor NA-127 constituency. Ali Pervaiz lawyer submitted an application to thereturning officer (RO) of NA-127.
The plea stated that Ali wants to take back party ticket and he will submitthe party ticket again with his name. The petitioner requested that let theRO should order to return back the PML-N for NA-127.
PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif awarded tickets to the new candidates whenthe Maryam was disqualified from contesting the polls in the Avenfieldreference verdict.
Meanwhile, for the provincial assembly seat of PP-173, Irfan Shafi Khokharwill now be contesting in Maryam’s place on the PML-N ticket.
Earlier, Nawaz was sentenced to ten years in prison for owning assetsbeyond his income, whilst his daughter received seven years for her role,while Safdar was one month imprisonment.
