LONDON – Maryam Nawaz announced that she will return to Pakistan along withher father on Friday despite being sentenced eight-year prison in theAvenfield properties case.

Former first daughter Maryam Nawaz was speaking to media in London onSaturday, a day after the accountability court’s verdict, which imposed a11-year punishment against her father, former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.

“Its written in the decision that Nawaz Sharif is not involved incorruption,” she said. “My father has been acquitted from money launderingcharges.”

She said that her father faced accountability in General (retd) PervezMusharraf’s regime but nothing was proven against him.

The PML-N supremo’s daughter said that the Avenfied decision given by anaccountability court is solely based on assumptions.

“The United Kingdom authenticated the trust deed,” she added.

The PML-N leader said that the authorities should use their red warrants tobring back dictators who violated the constitution of Pakistan.
