SRINAGAR – As many as 86 Indian security personnel and 37 civilians alsolost their lives in 2018.

While in 2019 as many numbers have already reached including Pulwama attackwhich killed at least 44 soldiers.

Indian security forces killed over 100 fighters in Jammu and Kashmir tillJune 6 this year, according to defence sources.

In 2019, the security forces eliminated 103 fighters in Jammu and Kashmir,while in 2018, 254 fighters were killed, according to a report by ANI.

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on December 12, 2018, said that thenumber of militant-related incidents in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) in 2018nearly doubled.

The year 2018 saw 238 terror operatives being neutralised by securityforces in the state till December 2, 2018.

As many as 86 security personnel and 37 civilians also lost their lives in2018.

While security forces maintain that number of stone-pelting incidents havegone down significantly, there are over 750 incidents of stone-peltingrecorded in 2018.
