NEW DELHI – Top Indian leader Shashi Tharoor is all praise for Pakistan PMImran Khan over Tipu Sultan remarks.

Senior Congress leader Shashi Tharoor showered praises on Pakistan PrimeMinister Imran Khan for his ‘genuine and far reaching’ interest in history.

However, the Congress leader expressed his disappointment that it took aPakistani leader to remember the ‘great Indian hero’ on his deathanniversary. He went on to add that Imran Khan reads and cares aboutsubcontinent’s history.

“One thing I personally know about Imran Khan is that his interest in theshared history of the Indian subcontinent is genuine and far-reaching,”Tharoor wrote praising Imran Khan.

Tharoor was responding to Pakistan PM Imran Khan’s recent tweet where hepaid his tribute to Tipu Sultan and expressed his admiration for the18th-century ruler of Mysore Kingdom.

“Today 4th May is the death anniversary of Tipu Sultan – a man I admirebecause he preferred freedom and died fighting for it rather than live alife of enslavement,” Imran Khan tweeted on May 4, on the death anniversaryof Tipu Sultan.
