Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi says the new local bodies system in Punjab will be helpful in devolution of powers to the gross-root level.
Talking to media in Islamabad on Monday, he said under the new local government system, the local government institutions will be provided with direct funds.
He said the new system will also ensure transparency during distribution of funds.
