ICC congratulates Pakistani umpire Aleem Dar on historic achievement

ISLAMABAD – Renowned Pakistani umpire Aleem Dar has reached the milestoneof officiating 200 ODI matches.

The milestone was achieved on Tuesday when Aleem Dar took to umpire the OneDay International match between West Indies and Bangladesh in Dublin.

The Pakistan Cricket Board and International Cricket Council congratulatedAleem Dar on the achievement.

PCB Managing Director, Wasim Khan, said the feat is testament to Aleem’sskill, judgement and commitment to excellence.

He added that Aleem stands as one of the most respected and admired umpiresin the world.

The Managing Director said Aleem is a role model and as a nation, we areproud of his achievements.

The International Cricket Council also took to twitter and congratulatedAleem Dar.

Aleem Dar has so far umpired in 125 Tests and is three short of SteveBucknor’s record of 128 Tests. He is also on the top in T20 Internationalswith 43 matches.

Expressing his joy over the achievement, Aleem Dar said he feels honouredto have reached 200 ODIs.
