*Opposition leaders have lauded the Supreme Court’s verdict that declaredthe events of April 3, including the National Assembly deputy speaker’sruling on the no-trust motion and the subsequent dissolution of theassembly, to be contrary to the constitution and of no legal effect.*
“Democracy is the best revenge! Jiya Bhutto! Jiya Awam! Pakistan Zindabad,”PPP chairperson Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari wrote in a Twitter post momentsafter the top court announced the verdict.
Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif tweeted, “Anepoch-making day! Mubarak to all who supported, defended & campaigned forthe supremacy of the Constitution. Today, politics of lies, deceit &allegations has been buried. People of Pakistan have won! God blessPakistan.”
