ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Thursday is scheduled topreside over a meeting of the federal cabinet to discuss an 18-point agendain Islamabad.
Importantly, a draft on the first-ever National Tariff Policy (NTP),approved by PM Imran Khan on Wednesday, will be presented in the meeting ofthe cabinet for its consideration and approval, said a statement issued bythe Prime Minister’s Office.
The NTP is aimed at ensuring transparency, predictability andinstitutionalising the entire tariff structure in the country.
The meeting will also approve the renewal of the Regular Public Transport(RPT) license of AirBlue, owned by former premier Shahid Khaqan Abbasi.
Besides, the meeting will be briefed on the progress regarding PakistanTehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-led federal government’s reform agenda.
The endorsement of the decisions taken by the Economic CoordinationCommittee (ECC) during its meeting on February 26, and appointments of thePakistan Ordnance of Factories Board (POFB) member production coordination,Member Production Control (MPC) in heavy industries Taxila Board and memberministerial coordination in Pakistan Ordnance Factories (POF) board arealso included in the agenda.
