PCB Chief reveals good news for Pakistan cricket

*ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Ehsan Mani has said thatICC Chief Executive Dave Richardson would be visiting Pakistan alongsideforeign dignitaries to attend the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL)matches.*

“ICC Chief Executive Dave Richardson is coming to Pakistan alongsidesecurity experts of Bangladesh cricket and Cricket Australia.

“Our intention is that these experts get the on ground experience on how weoperate,” said Mani, while talking to local media.

The PCB chief than applauded the city and provincial governments for theirefforts to promote PSL. “I am thankful to the Karachi and Sindhadministration for their measures at the last minute, and I am hopeful theywill all be successful,” said Mani.

PSL Pakistan-leg Lahore matches were moved to Karachi just days ago, due tologistical and operational challenges. The decision was taken following thedelayed opening of the Lahore airspace for commercial flights, which hascreated substantial operational and logistical challenges relating to thedelivery of the three Lahore matches, which were originally scheduled for9, 10 and 12 March.

Talking about the upcoming matches in Pakistan, Mani said that thesuccessful implementation of PSL would help eradicating the negativeperception foreigners have towards Pakistan.

“The perception that Pakistan has among the foreigners would change afterthe successful implementation of PSL in Karachi. People would be assuredthat Pakistan and Karachi especially are completely safe,” said Mani.
