RAWALPINDI – The 219th Corps Commanders’ Conference on Thursday expressedstrong will, resolve and determination to defend the motherland against anymisadventureor aggression.
The forum was presided over by Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General QamarJaved Bajwa here at the General Headquarters (GHQ), said a press releaseissued here by Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The forum reviewed geo-strategic environment and situation due to ongoingPakistan India standoff. It expressed concerns on increased Indianatrocities in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK), post-Palwama incident andcontinueddeliberate targeting of civilians along Line of Control by Indianoccupationforces.
Continuity of such brutalities are only fueling the fire and need to bestoppedin the interest of regional peace which also merits world’s attention, theforumadded.
The forum also discussed progress of National Action Plan 2014 (NAP).
The COAS, appreciating the morale and performance of the forces, supportfrom the nation and above all blessings of Almighty Allah, directed forcontinuedstate of vigilance and alertness so as to be prepared for response to anythreat.
He also directed to further the efforts in line with decisions of thegovernment to accelerate implementation of NAP while rendering fullassistance to other state institutions.
“Pakistan is on the positive trajectory of peace, stability and progress.
No one can make us budge through use or threat of use of force. Similarly,policy and the right of use of force, shall remain the prerogative of thestate alone”, the COAS concluded.
