ISLAMABAD: As per the decision of Prime Minister Imran Khan regardingimmediate payment of stipends to youth, the Ministry of Finance on Thursdayreleased funds for the payment of Rs. 941 million to 29,000 youth.
The decision was taken after 282 youth lodged the complaints with thePakistan Citizens’ Portal, an online complaints system, which wascontinuously addressing public complaints through the portal, launched bythe Prime Minister, a statement issued by the PM Media Office said.
Pakistan Citizens’ Portal played its effective role in getting the approvaland release of funds for the payment of outstanding dues in terms ofstipends since March 2018, and for which the youth had been running frompillar to post.
The government and the Prime Minister’s Delivery Unit were fully cognizantof the sensitivity of the issue and the fact that the country could notachieve progress without addressing the problems of youth, which were atrue asset of Pakistan. That was why the matter was placed for approval bythe Prime Minister.
In line with the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan, the PM’s DeliveryUnit would continue to strive for resolving the problems of every segmentof society, the statement said.
